SDG 1: No Poverty (farmer incentives) SDG 7: Clean Energy (bamboo fuel) SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (green jobs in bamboo industry) SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (sustainable bamboo processing) SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production (eco-cutlery and biochar) SDG 13: Climate Action (GHG sequestration)

Pamoja Project: Pamoja is our flagship transformative bamboo afforestation project, designed to restore 6,000 acres of degraded riparian land in Busia County, Kenya. By combining rapid carbon sequestration through bamboo planting with biochar production from waste, the project creates a robust dual-revenue model. This initiative partners with 6,000 smallholder farmers, rewarding them for past "additionality" via vintage credits, while actively building a sustainable, local bamboo industry to produce furniture, clean fuel, and eco-cutlery.

Project Overview & Impact:

• Location: Busia County, Kenya.

• Key Impact: Mitigates flooding, avoids deforestation, restores riparian zones, and creates green jobs within the new bamboo value chain.

• Scale & Revenue: Multi-stream revenue from carbon sequestration, biochar production, and biodiversity premiums.

Project Status & Carbon Credits:

• Status: Feasibility phase; pre-feasibility report complete (including LULC 2016-2025 analysis and cash flows); Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) ongoing. Phased rollout: Foundation (Years 1-2) for sequestration, Industrial (Years 3-4) for biochar integration.

• Carbon Credits: Projected 100,000+ tonnes of CO₂ removal over 30 years at ~15 tCO₂e/ha/year (ARR via aboveground biomass + biochar removals). Methodologies are Verra-aligned for ARR/REDD+. Selected for NASDAQ's technology-enabled carbon removal platform.
